How reviews work on The Network
Reviews here aren't from anonymous strangers. They're from members you've actually worked with, on jobs that have actually finished. That's what makes them worth reading.
Finish the job
Reviews stay locked until the job is marked completed. Until then, neither party can leave feedback — so nothing gets posted in the heat of the moment.
Confirm you worked together
Both parties confirm the work via a work confirmation. This handshake links the poster and the tradie (or tradie and sub) to that specific job. No confirmation, no review — that's how fake reviews are kept out.
Rate on three axes
Once unlocked, you rate the other member on:
Plus a written comment — between 10 and 2,000 characters. Short enough to be honest, long enough to be useful.
One review per person, per job
You can leave one review per person you worked with on a given job. If something changes, you can edit it — every edit is tracked so the history stays honest.
It shows up where it matters
Posted reviews appear:
- On the member's public profile
- In their average rating across all listings and cards
- In search and filters when other members are choosing who to hire
Moderated by real people
Admins can hide reviews that breach our community guidelines — harassment, retaliation, anything off-platform. Edit history is visible to admins so manipulation is easy to spot.
Why we built it this way
Most review systems online are easy to fake and full of noise. The Network ties every review to a completed job and a confirmed working relationship. That means a 5-star rating here actually reflects a job well done — and a low one means something too.
